So, you want to be a screenwriter?

Of course you do. Everyone fantasizes about achieving fame, fortune, and rubbing elbows with those artists we idolize. Having some sort of voice with the ability to drown out all the noise in the world.

No doubt you’ve read about, or even experienced first-hand just how hard it is to “break in” to the industry. It’s an extremely saturated market, and you have to outshine thousands. You might have the next box office hit bouncing around in your skull, but your brilliant idea is not enough. In order to get anywhere with your story, you need to be able to properly execute it, which is easier said than done.  Even then, no matter how well-written and well-rounded your story is, you have to get it read, and by the right people, or you’re just another guy (one of thousands, remember?) with a screenplay.

It’s my aim to help those truly passionate writers find their voice and their audience. Not that I’m a brilliant writer myself, or that I’ve even managed to “get there”. In the film industry, you’re either a known name, or working toward your big break– And in that sense, we’re all at level one. The film industry is a fascinating one. My peers are not only my competition, but my comrades. The industry is due some new blood, and I’m looking forward to working with the upcoming generation of creative minds. Many thanks for wandering onto this site, and please keep on reading! Whether you’ve been writing for years, or are just starting out, you can never know too much.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a List Keeper. I’m constantly making notes and making lists, and without my precious lists, I wouldn’t know what to do, or where to start. So let’s review our To Do list (scratch off what you may).

No matter how many years you’ve been writing, you will start at step 1 again and again.
